Trainee / Assistant Quarry Manager

Job Introduction

Carnsew Quarry (part of the Colas Ltd Group) is a quarrying business based near Falmouth, in Cornwall.  We now have a requirement for an Assistant Quarry Manger.  Working alongside the Quarry Manager you will have a wide-ranging role, whilst working with a small, experienced team to ensure compliance in a number of areas. This is a full-time and permanent role.

Main Responsibility

The candidate work will include optimising production targets, assisting the Quarry Manager with PPM as well as ensuring the safe and efficient management of the site operations, whilst ensuring compliance with all company and legislative standards. 

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is likely to be an experienced people manager, communicator, and influencer with an enthusiastic drive to promote continual improvement with a “can do” attitude and “right first time” ethos.
