Finance Administrator

Job Introduction

Colas' finance team are dotted around multiple sites in the UK and support the back-office accountancy function for the business. Due to increased demand, we’re looking for a Finance Administrator based in Leigh to support with invoicing and dealing with invoice queries.

Main Responsibility

This role involves matching invoices with receipts for goods received from our construction sites and assisting with the month end accounting routine. You’ll work closely with the Head of Finance to learn our in-house systems and assist with general accounts clerical duties as needed.

The Ideal Candidate

For this role you’ll need to have an English and Maths GCSE. Ideally, you’ll have studied some form of finance qualification (like AAT/Bookkeeping) – but not a deal breaker if not. Preferably you’ll have worked in an accounts or finance function previously for a large business and be competent in Microsoft Word/Excel with good attention to detail skills. Personally, you’ll be reliable, eager to learn/develop and ideally looking to pursue a long-term career in accounts and finance.
