Job Introduction

Colas is looking to recruit a Purchase Ledger Administrator to join the Finance Team in the Warrington office. This opportunity has arisen from the expansion in work for which the Warrington Finance team is responsible. The successful candidate will offer purchase ledger support to Colas Products, a successful and well established 80 year old manufacturing business operating in the bitumen emulsion market, and Colas Quarries, which is comprised of two hard rock quarries in Cornwall. The candidate will report to the Management Accountant and will be provided full training, so industry experience is not essential. However, a general administration experience or background will be helpful. 

Main Responsibility

The Purchase Ledger Administrator will work on purchase ledger duties including but not limited to stock management, quotations and busines support. More specifically, the role responsibilities will extend to resolving any supplier account queries, maintaining minimum stationery/provision levels, compiling of requisitions as well as the storage and retrieval of data/information both of a confidential and general nature.

The Ideal Candidate

This can be a promising and career defining second job for a hardworking and ambitious administrator who has an excellent attention to detail. This opportunity is likely to suit a business related degree graduate (but other strong graduates will also be considered). Construction and engineering industry is preferred, but is not necessary.
