Job Introduction
Colas Highways Contracting North holds an extensive portfolio of capability and experience delivering all highways civil engineering requirements, focussed on a true “fence to fence” highways solution. Our diverse range of services include public realm improvements, junction improvements, car parks including park and ride facilities, footways, cycle ways and other infrastructure for non-motorised users, carriageway construction and surfacing, drainage improvements, signalisation, road lining & Carriageway studs and more.
Due to recent contract award our North West region, are currently looking to recruit a Senior Site Engineer.
Main Responsibility
The Senior Site Engineer will ensure exceptional engineering control and quality control are maintained throughout, being responsible for the day to day technical and engineering management on the project to ensure the Employers Requirements are met. Reporting to the Project Manager/Site Manager on all technical and engineering matters, ensuring the control is established from the outset and always available in advance of programme demands. Supporting the Project Manager/Site Agent in all other project management activity, include Health, Safety and Welfare Management
The Ideal Candidate
The perfect candidate will hold the relevant Construction qualifications and have experience working on Civil Engineering / Highways schemes. You will be proficient with setting techniques and equipment, with previous experience of NEC & ICE contracting standards and have the ability to deliver projects possessing the organisational skills to meet demanding deadlines. It is important that you have excellent organisational, planning and time management skills and are able to manage multiple projects simultaneously without compromising on standards and quality.
