Senior Planner

Job Introduction

Our Northern Region are currently seeking to appoint a Senior Planner to provide planning management and support to both the pre-contract and contract operations for the business. Coordinating with the bid and construction teams to manage and control the planning and programming aspects of bid proposals and multiple projects in progress.

Main Responsibility

The main duties of the role are to produce tender programmes and methodology; produce tender deliverables when required; produce, manage, and update the construction programme and its communication to internal and external customers and major stakeholders and to manage and incorporate change events into the construction programme and jointly with the operational and commercial team, assist in securing full entitlement under the contract. 

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will be educated to a professional level with a relevant degree or equivalent in a core business discipline, you will have experience in the use of project management software with extensive experience in programme and project management, project planning, including programme controls, project review, and cost & risk analysis.

You will have the ability to plan construction works from first principles, preferably with experience in multi discipline major projects. Along with this you will be able to demonstrate the technical knowledge required to be able to review, check, comment on drawings for change, build-ability and quality, health & safety, and compliance with contract and legislation.
