Job Introduction
Our Contracting South business unit is going from strength to strength with recent successes in the Midlands and Bristol on the council’s highways frameworks. As a result of growing demand, we’re looking for a Site Agent to lead daily construction activities on our A34 sprint scheme. It’s important that the successful candidate is commutable to Birmingham and has a relevant background in highways/civils at an onsite supervisory level.
Main Responsibility
The successful Site Agent will initially support the A34 Sprint contract and be flexible to support other schemes when required. You’ll be the main point of contact onsite and will be responsible for the safe & efficient delivery of all secured works ensuring management of key client expectations and ongoing liaison of all works. Ensuring the compliance with all quality procedures and safe working practices, undertaking all works to the highest possible Health, Safety and environmental standards, whilst safeguarding the wellbeing of all employees.
The Ideal Candidate
The perfect candidate will have previous onsite managerial/leadership experience with extensive highways and minor civils construction experience including surfacing, drainage, curbing, paving, street lighting, traffic signals etc. You’ll have a strong leadership background and be comfortable managing multiple projects/sites and large headcounts. Personally, you’ll be committed to ensuring quality and safety standards are consistently high and take a real sense of pride in your work.
