Job Introduction
Colas UK Projects delivers major transport infrastructure solutions in the UK, Ireland and internationally. Our huge global expertise alongside the strength of our UK in-house specialist teams, local manufacturing and 96-year knowledge base and experience, brings a unique mix of local specialists and global resources to projects. Due to growth in the department, we are recruiting for a Site Engineer to join the site team in Kent acting as the main technical adviser on site for Colas.
Main Responsibility
As Site Engineer you will be checking plans, drawings, and quantities for accuracy of calculations ensuring that all materials used, and work performed are as per specifications. You will be making cost-effective solutions and proposals for the project and carry out any setting, levelling out and surveying required on site.
The Ideal Candidate
The perfect candidate will hold the relevant Construction qualifications and have experience working on Civil Engineering / Major Highways schemes. You will be proficient with setting techniques and equipment, with previous experience of NEC & ICE contracting standards and have a working knowledge of health and safety & HR procedures.
