Job Introduction
Colas UK Projects delivers major transport infrastructure solutions in the UK, Ireland and internationally. Our huge global expertise alongside the strength of our UK in-house specialist teams, local manufacturing and 96-year knowledge base and experience, brings a unique mix of local specialists and global resources to projects. Due to growth in the area, we are recruiting for a Social Value Coordinator - this is an autonomous position and the candidate will be expected to a large extent prioritise and manage their own work and time.
Main Responsibility
The Social Value Co-ordinator (SVC) will work as part of the project team to enable delivery of social value initiatives in alignment with the site-specific social value delivery plan. The SVC will secure relationships with local stakeholders including job centre plus, Kent Council employment team, charities and schools, whilst upholding the reputation of Colas at all times. With strong attention to detail, the SVC will accurately record all social value activities in our methodology of choice, the Social Value Portal and gather/produce case studies for use in media and tenders.
The Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will have experience in a Social Value specific role and be able to demonstrate that they have previously taken ownership of projects, enjoy client relationship management and have managed delivery plans, people and data. Construction/engineering industry sector experience is helpful, but is not necessary. Applications are welcomed from professionals in the social housing, local authority and major charities as well, among others.
