Job Introduction
Our Contracting North business unit is going from strength to strength with recent successes. As a result, we are now looking for a Surfacing Supervisor to lead surfacing activities on a number of schemes.
Main Responsibility
To carry out the effective management of asphalt surfacing operations and directly employed surfacing crews and subcontract personnel to enable efficient delivery of projects in a professional manner.
Working with the Operations Manager / Agent to ensure full compliance with all Quality procedures, Inspection and Test Plans and safe working practices whilst undertaking all works to the highest possible Health, Safety and Environmental standards. In addition, will provide proactive liaison and support to enable a good partnering relationship with our client base.
This role is based within the Leeds area but may be a requirement for you to travel to other locations within the region, in accordance with the Business Unit Strategy.
The Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate is likely to be currently employed as a surfacing supervisor for the Highways Divisions or Region and have several years’ experience of surfacing supervision and management of personnel in the provision of transport infrastructure or civil engineering services. They will have a proven track record of asphalt work and HSEQ system implementation. Full Clean Driving Licence.
